Does Laser Hair Body Removal Hurt?

A friend narrated on how suspicious and confused she was before she headed for her first body hair removal in decades. Comrades, coworkers, and friends could scare her off the plan of hair removal emphasizing that it hurts, ineffective and highly risky.

But to her surprise, this is what the best dermatologist in Punjab told her during an evaluation process. ‘You are an ideal candidate for the laser hair removal and just leave the rest to me in case you desire perfect results’.

She recalls on the actual day of her laser hair removal, she was told to take off her clothes except for the bra and was given a clinical or patient’s gown to wear. An ultrasound gel was first applied on her body areas, which were to be lasered in order to protect the skin from the strong laser energy (getting burnt).

She was handed a pair of sunglasses, to protect her eyes from the damage. She was explained that the device that was intended to be used, that particular laser uses an advanced new ice-cube-tip technology that reduces the effect of burning, and painful feeling during the procedure.

Her nervousness grew when she had to face a reality of exposing the different parts of the body to a non-familiar person since Full Body Hair Removal in Punjab and every else in the world involves exposing your naked body to the beautician. But the fact is that these dermatologists have seen many naked bodies since that’s part of their job.

At the end of the first laser hair removal, she was surprised by the results. No pain, swelling or irritation as many say. She currently lives with a smooth and hair free body.
